Today is National Puppy Day - this is Catherine Anne Kerns 1939-1944 with her doll and puppy. Little Catherine died at age 5 - she was electrocuted in her NY yard. Remembering her and how cute she was.
Oh it is cute, she is my cousin also
Yes she is Joetta! I'm going to start posting more photo's on here that I find, so we are able to share with everyone.
This is an absolutely precious photo. May I ask how Catherine died?
that's a good idea to post more photos - I have some of a young cousin that I should honour with a post.
She looks so healthy to have died so young.
Absolutely adorable photo. Do you know how or why she passed away so young?
This is an absolutely precious photo. May I ask how Catherine died?
She was accidentally electrocuted in her yard Daniel. ) :
Catherine was electrocuted in her yard? my lord! how did this happen?
Poor thing! Where we used to live, before we moved there about 1950, a little girl drowned in the cow's watering trough. :(
I don't know how it happened exactly Daniel. That is what I found while doing research for my family tree. I'm assuming there must have been a low hanging wire or exposed wire that she came across....That is so sad Marsha. Very hard on the whole community when a child tragically loses a life to a drowning or accident. We had one in our community this last summer. It was a little girl that drowned in a swimming pool. Just so sad for everyone involved.
