Aquilla (pronounced: ah-Quil-ah) has gone by Aquilla R Nash and Aquilla Wilkins. She married Samuel L Wilkins on January 9th 1954 and they divorced on November 15th 1989. She was 52 when she married Verna, age 65, on September 9th 1990 in Gregg Texas.
According to her website, Acquilla Nash is referenced as a "prophetic whisper" and has the ability to communicate sincerely with her congregation - often healing through her words.
She became religious in 1961 following complications of her second son's birth. She was essentially dying, and while medical staff attempted to keep her alive, she found God through giving herself to Him. In those moments, she decided to commit the rest of her life to God.
After her recovery she got baptized and a few years later felt a calling to go into full-time ministry. She is the founder of Aquilla Nash ministries and The Dove Christian Retreat in Texas. She is often interviewed in various Christian communities and some of her videos can be found online.
Her son, pastor Larry Wilkins also ministers in The Dove Christian Fellowship. He traveled with his mother throughout his teenage and college years and in 1982 began preaching.
I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
