me lo stavo chiedendo pure io....comunque è arrivato ad una età in cui la vita è stata ben vissuta ed avrà di sicuro potuto insegnare agli eredi tutto ciò che aveva imparato... R.I.P.
Let me try this yet again. I'm Lynn and I'm Ted's daughter. Yes, my father has passed and someone has already linked his obit to this post. As for their life it was a normal life. They were very much alike in many ways but so different in as many ways as they were alike.
As for their race...they are both of the same race. Although I don't see how that matters as there are many different shades of skin color in every ethnic group. This picture was taken just over 77 years ago and it could have been the lighting or how it was developed.
The photo was taken when they were 12 days old, they were held up because they were born two months early and were fighting to live due to low birth weights and not having the technology we have now.
My husband's sisters are identical and just turned 79. They are each unique people but very much alike - ie will send the same card from 2 different states.
I don't believe they are of different races, I believe it is simply the lighting. Note the arms holding the babies up, coincidence? I think not. There appears to be one light source, most of center on the left hand side of the photo.
Thank you. They were a lot of fun to grow up with. My cousin posted to the page and for me it's just weird having people judge as my Dad never did that or brought us up like that.
Please, when you comment, think of the persons family members who will see this post.
I don't understand why someone not related to us has to find them, or make assumptions about them. Try putting yourself in my place or any of my family members place and realize how weird it is having strangers check them out.
So what I'm saying is use the Thumper Rule when commenting.
I was not the one who posted the picture, just was surprised by some of the comments.
They were preemies they are not as healthy as a full term baby. I have a son who only weighed two pounds when he was born He was frightful to look yet he looked like a cross between ET and a flying squirrel but he grew into awesome young man and he looked very unhealthy but is now 32 years old and doing great
Please read my reply to my comments. They are both the same race...both white. It was 77 years ago and it was either the lighting or the way it was developed back then. Please, use the Thumper Rule when commenting.
Thank you for sharing. They are so adorable. I was able to read some of what the boards behind them say. They were 12 days old when this photo was taken.
It's a wonderful picture, an old shot probably taken by a non professional with only a harsh examination light. Any one should be able to see the lighting is not directed equally toward each baby, causing one to appear darker. I think it is pityful that some persons make insulting comments, especially a "retired teacher",supposedly educated. Of course there are all the other hateful ignorants. I'm sorry, l don't usually rant, but to be so negative and insulting over an old picture of someone's blessings is childish and shameful!
Hi! I'm the one who posted this photo of my dad, Al and his twin, Ted. I didn't realize that it would get so many comments. My poor cousin is going to have a stroke! LOL.
Lol
No stroke just was shocked by some of the comments and I see that some of the original ones been deleted...but it would have been nice to be forwarned. Also it's weird that people, who don't know them, had to go find them and post information on them.
My mom was born in Chicago on August 25th, 1925 along with her identical twin sister and they're both still kickin' it down in New Orleans at the age of 90. They may have been the only native "Yankees" in our family, but they've lived down South (like the rest of our Southern born relatives) since 1941. (y) My mom and aunt were cuter than these mugs though...O.o
As sweet as this photo is, it also has a sense of sadness about it. It's almost as though they are being sown off as freaks! LOL So glad they survived. :)
