To document history of that day General Eisenhower ordered photos taken to mark these horrific evils against humanity. As for historical writings more western books were written regarding the crusades than that of the east. We all know who lost that war and who the victors were.

It would be awesome if you'd explain what you are saying, Katherine. What side of the story don't we know about?
Frances Noyan Christians are on the next list. I saw a video on Youtube-they are putting escaping Middle-East Christians all because they don't want to be part of Isis-they're being put in the Fema Camp in Hungary, England is accepting the Fema camps as well. Canada and United States is going to arrest those who don't recieve the mark of the beast and put them in the Fema camps (which are Christians).

@ Frances Noyan... The Holocaust in Germany happened so did a genocide in Armenia ( which Turkey denies) also in Ireland and to Native Americans - and on and on. The Red Cross let themselves be used by the nazis not releasing records for 50 years and claiming only 271,000 Jews were exterminated not 6 million. They have been inaccurate for decades and not a reliable source of any info. As far as I'm concerned they are anti-Semitic and anyone who believes them is also. The democrats are the ones who support terrorist regimes who want to destroy Israel and commit genocide! Obama’s (the greatest demagogue of them all) goal was to see a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv within the next 20 years. The democrats are the ones who try desperately to silence and even promote violence against anyone who dares to disagree with them. The democrats are the true fascists! Unfortunately, it's apparently very easy for people to think that way. My grandmother remembers that during the occupation by the Germans in the Netherlands during WWII, some of her family's friends would say things like "All those Germans need to die, till the very last child". Which really wasn't any better reasoning than the people who thought this about Jews.

Hate and suffering and ignorance and fear is what makes people want to murder a whole people. Though most of all, it's fear, according to my grandma. It reminds me of some Israelis who want all the Palestinians to die, even the children, "because the boys will just become terrorists and the girls will just give birth to more terrorists". This line of reasoning is wrong, but people are bombed and targeted by terrorists and become afraid and think stupid things. And then sometimes a politician steps in and says exactly what they thought, so they support him and then he uses that to gain power. Something like that.

Very very sad! How can us human beings have come to hate each other at a point to have these horrible concentration camps in Germany, Poland and Russia not so very long ago and almost exterminate a whole race? Massmurderer Adolf Hitler was a demagogue and plunged Europe into World War II with his crazy rhetoric about racism, antisemitism and ultra nationalism and therefore attacking Germany's neighbours in a very vile way! De onmenselijke gevolgen en de verschrikkingen die de Nazi's gedurende de Tweede Wereldoorlog hadden aangericht in Europa en de rest van de wereld mogen nooit en te nimmer vergeten worden!

The Jewish people were arrested and forced to go into a huge outside auditorium for days..no food or water. They separated the children and sent them to a different camp before they went to Auschwitz. July 16th was the day France did this. Evil...

Humans still do this today. Muslim killing christians and beheading children and parents...Muslims raping girls at age 9 yonger and older....and don't forget the brutal dismemberment in the United States Role in killing unborn babies. Just because it isn't out their loud for everyone to see...doesn't mean it isn't going on.

There are always people who will deny the evidence even as it is placed before them. The bodies found, the survivors all telling the same stories...

Yes, there is always the other side, but that doesn't mean the other side was right; it just means there's another side. Period.

History books and lessons leave out a lot. Along with Hitler's attempt at genocide, there have been other monsters who tried to do the same to other groups. And that includes the United States and their mission to wipe out Native Americans...tearing them from their homes, massacring women and children, paying bounties for scalps and other body parts, horrific tortures and purposely spreading diseases. Then there's the brutality of the slave trade, the KKK, the lynchings, the hatred and bigotry that still lingers in this country.

I'm an American, and I love my country, but I know, too, that if we close our eyes to the problems, they only get worse. Loyalty and patriotism is wonderful, but not when it's blind. You can't fix what you refuse to see that needs fixing.

Rhetorical question but what kind of people/culture murders children as a matter of policy. ISIS is nothing new, just evil in new shoes (sandals). And yet, our own culture has its own sins to come to terms with thinking back over slavery, Native Americans and Hawaiians intentionally starved and infected with measles. Sometimes the world just makes me weary.

I remember this interview with a USA retired Army Vet in a nursing home. He was given a letter from a gentleman stating he wishes to visit him. He does. These two very old men. The one that came to visit, was crying, saying g over and over again, thank you, thank you again for saving me. He said to the interviewer, back in WWII, this sweet man saved me and the remains living souls at Auschwitz. I was nothing but bone. The Army Vet said, this waif of a sweet man collapsed into my arms saying, are you American? He didn't say, your black, but, are you American. I said yes I am and here to bring you to safety. When I saw this interview, I bawled 😢😢 my eyes out. Here's the kicker, they were in the same Nursing Home.

We must Never Forget all of the children, sisters & brothers, mamas, daddys, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, who were brutally murdered in the Holocaust. I cannot comprehend the horror. The movie, "Sophie's Choice" was so clear to the younger me, a 27 yr. old first time mother of a young baby girl. I never could have made that choice, and what happened gutted me. I knew some survivors' grown by then.children

God Bless all those who perished by the hands of man🙏
Look at these lovely children. Their lives may have been spared had America opened her doors to them, but nobody did that in time to save their lives. When we say "never forget" we also mean, do not let us repeat the same mistakes. Syrian children who face certain death if nobody will offer them sanctuary deserve a chance too, and now is the time to "never forget."

Helen ! I never see any thing posted on face book about the potato famine in Ireland when all those children died of starvation back in the 1850s! I can't imagine how the mothers and fathers felt watching them begging for some thing to eat and watching them suffer and die! I'm curious did you remember that in history books? Just asking! My Mothers significant other, Pierre Berg, for over 50 years is a survivor of the Holocaust. Prisoner of Auschwitz, & Dora prisons & a terrible train ride. You can read all about it in his book, "Sheisshaus Luck" . Sheisshaus is German for S*** House & one of his friends escaped being shot by hiding in & diving into the mess in the Sheisshaus where Germans would not go. This book is available on Amazon. Pierre is still alive today, is 91 & works at the Ebel Theater in Beverly Hills as an usher. Get the book & drop by the Ebel to have him sign it for you. I have read it cover to cover & plan to read it again. Pictured here in front left side of picture.

Precious children lost to the world
Very sad 😢
Beautiful girls. Such a tragedy. I will never forget.
Heartbreaking. Such innocent beauty!
has anyone come to realize this is the same way America is viewing Muslims? I understand the whole Isis thing but most Americans want to do pretty much this to them. And Donald Trump is feeding that fire. We are well on our way to repeating history sadly.
It just really stinks that nowadays schools ban students learning about the holocaust. I had to go into a lot of research and it took me a few years- watching the real documentaries-even of the survivors stories, reading the books and stuff like that. But we all got to dive deeper in what this piece of history truly means. You know you hear the term "many who don't know history are doomed to repeat it?" Many people when the soldiers of the US and England told them what they saw in those camps were devastating, some people didn't take it too serious. If some people don't believe it or just want to ignore it, geonicide has always been there and it is there right now. And sooner or later the round ups, deportaton, concentration camps and geonicide, mass murder can be knocking on anyone's front door.

God bless all those poor souls murdered because of a mad man. The sad thing is it’s still going on in other countries, in other ways.
Man will never know peace because there is to much hatred and to much greed in the world.
It’s been like it since the beginning of time.
The sad thing is the innocents have to suffer !
