    POUGHKEEPSIE — Winifred Anna Skane. 81, a lifelong Town of Poughkeepsie resident, died April 4, 1995 at home. Mrs. Skane was a stenographer for the Resource Office at Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie. She retired in 1973. She was a member of the Quiet Cove Yacht Club and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, both in Poughkeepsie. Born Oct. 12, 1913, in Poughkeepsie, she was a daughter of Patrick and Silina Keefry McGlynn. She was a graduate of Arlington High School. In 1943 at Our Lady of Rosary Church in Poughkeepsie, she married James W. Skane, who survives at home. Also surviving are a daughter, Linda M. Skane of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Leonard and Donald McGlynn of Poughkeepsie; three sisters, Patricia Morrissey of Naples, Maine, Josephine Econom of Hyde Park and Peggy Del Santo of Poughkeepsie; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Nowik. Arrangements were made by the Dowling Funeral Home, 43 Fairview Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Mount Carmel Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
