William Gryder died at age 80 years old on October 27, 1966 in Dublin, Erath County, and was buried in 1966 at Live Oak Cemetery in Dublin.

    Services Held For W. R. Gryder W. R. Gryder, 80, retired grocery man, was buried in the New Dublin Cemetery October 29 following 2:00 p.m. services. Mr. Gryder died October 27 in the Dublin hospital following a long illness. The son of William Harvey Gryder and Synthia Henry Gryder, William Robert Gryder was born March 13, 1886 in Comanche County. His wife, the former Allie Lou Blacklock, died in 1913 and he later was married to Jossie Mae Roberson. Mr. Gryder was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Dublin. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Marie Davis of Pasadena, Tex; one son, Oscar Gryder of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Gryder of Dublin and Charlie and Houston Gryder both of Gustine; also three sisters, Mrs. Gaudie Morris and Mrs. Julia Mayfield of Levelland and Mrs. Nellie Roberson of Amherst. Pallbearers were Robert Nethey, Oscar W. Davis, Orval Gryder, Marshall Davis, Audry Davis and W. D. Rustin. "Dublin Progress," 3 Nov 1966, p. 1

This is my GGgrandmother and Grandfather, Annie Lou Blacklock Gryder and Robert William Gryder. Annie Lou was the daughter of Benjamin Thomas Blacklock and Mary Elizabeth Needham of Milam, Texas. William Robert was the son of William Harvey Gryder and Cynthia Louisa Henry of Erath Texas.
