    William Henry Newett was born to George Albert Newett (1856-1928) and Mary Eva (Nichols) Newett (1855-1897), and had siblings Edna Marie Nelson (1881-1958), George Albert (1890-1976), and Marie Niss (1892-1968). William was in the United States Army and enlisted on July 16th 1917 and served until his discharge on January 17th 1919. He married Mable Hawes (born 1895) on May 3rd 1920 in Chicago.
