My wife's ancestor, William Clark Jordan, who was in the confederacy from Davie Co., NC...He was born about 1829 and died 1911. His tombstone (and death certificate) say that he was born in 1813, but there are lot of records that indicate he was born much later. He was married in Randolph Co., NC to Mary Ann Johnson and later married Sarah Shives in Davie Co., NC. He is buried in Woodland Cem in Winston-Salem. I photographed this painted photograph in the home of William's great-grandson, Charlie Jordan in Davidson Co., NC.
