    Wayne Perry Ducolon was born on October 17, 1922 in Wahjamega, Indian Fields Twp., Tuscola Co., MI to parents Perry L Ducolon (1896-1951) and Laura M Simit (born 1904). He lived in art, Oceana Co., MI and on November 12, 1942 he married Gerturde Mae Wright (1924-2012) in Oceana. The couple later divorced on July 23, 1946 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. A few days later, he enlisted into the Air Corps on July 31, 1946 in Selfridge Field Mt Clemens Michigan. Wayne served during World War II with the 28th Medical Depot Company, participating as a medic in the Battle of the Bulge. Later, he joined the Air Force and took part in the Berlin airlift. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing, playing cards, and volunteering at the Arvada Food Bank.

    Wayne Perry Ducolon of Arvada, a retired automotive parts salesman, died Sept. 1 in Arvada. He was 72. Services were Wednesday at Arvada United Methodist Church. Interment was in Arvada Cemetery. He was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Wahajamega, Mich. On June 4, 1948, he married Doris Jeanne Bullock in Arvada. Ducolon served during World War II with the 28th Medical Depot Company, participating as a medic in the Battle of the Bulge. Later, he joined the Air Force and took part in the Berlin airlift. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing, playing cards, and volunteering at the Arvada Food Bank. He was a member of Arvada United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Denise Cox, Gibsonia, Pa.; a stepbrother, Wesley L. Scott, Elkhart, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
