Violetta Ellen (Dye) Lear of Coleraine Australia was born on February 21, 1877 in Coleraine to William Henry Dye and Ann Rebecca (Osborne) Dye. She had siblings Emily Charlotte (Dye) Conboy, Francis Henry Dye, Annie Murtel Dye, Walter Stanley Dye, Valentine Victor Dye, Thomas Jonas Dye, Lillian Ann (Dye) Aldridge, William John Dye, and Mary Maud Dye Baty. She married Benjamin John Lear in 1898, and had children Joseph Thomas Leslie Lear, Lillian Maude Lear, Irene Violet Lear, Evelyn Olive Lear, Ivy Jean Lear, and Elvina Mavis Lear. Violetta Lear died at age 68 years old on April 28, 1945 in Rockdale, Bayside Council County, NSW.
