"Vicky" (a teenager) married entertainer Tiny Tim (Herbert Buckingham Khaury) on the Johnny Carson show - the Tonight Show. The show brought in high ratings: (from IMDb) "Vicki Budinger is known for Pat Paulsen's Half a Comedy Hour (1970), The Ed Sullivan Show (1948) and The Mike Douglas Show (1961). She was previously married to Tiny Tim. Posed nude for the October 1975 issue of Oui Magazine. Age 17 when she married Tiny Tim, 20 years her senior, on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962). They met 6 months earlier when she asked him to sign a book of his poetry during his appearance at a Philadelphia department store. Have you heard of "Tiny Tim"? This is a wedding photo of him with his first wife, "Miss Vicky".

Tiny Tim's birth name was Herbert Buckingham Khaury. He was known for singing in a falsetto voice - much like Rudy Vallée, from whom he learned by listening. He appeared on many tv shows, but it was on The Tonight Show that he truly became famous.

He was 37 years old when he married 17 year old Miss Vicki on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" on December 17, 1969, with 40 million people watching. The wedding was the highest-rated episode in American tv late night show history. They had a daughter, Tulip Victoria, born in 1971 and they divorced in 1977. Vicki went on to marry several more times, Tiny Tim married twice more before he died in 1996 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Miss Vicki was go-go dancer

The following appeared in The Herald-News in Passaic New Jersey on Tuesday December 3rd 1974:

CAMDEN (AP) - Miss Vicki, singer Tiny Tim's wife, has often performed as a go-go dancer, the manager of a Camden, bar said Monday. Vic Finizio, manager of Minnie's Lounge, said Miss Vicki danced for never more than $5 an hour, attired in a skimpy costume and girating to jukebox music.

Miss Vicki, whose maiden name was Victoria Budinger, danced once or twice a week from June until August, said Finizio in a telephone interview Monday night. He stressed she was not a "stripper". "She told me she was his (Tiny Tim's) wife, but she'd rather not have anybody know about it," Finizio said.

He said Miss Vicki last danced at the bar several weeks ago, when "she said she was leaving for London." Miss Budinger married Tiny Tim in 1969 on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" before a viewing audience of 45 million. They were separated last January.

Since then she has lived with their daughter, Tulip, 3, in Cherry Hill, N.J., and, according to the Philadelphia Bulletin, has been receiving $235 a month in welfare payments from the Camden County Welfare Office.

"This is a way for a girl to make a few dollars when she's down and out. They're not soliciting customers or drinks," Finizio said. He said Miss Vicki asked to perform as a go-go girl because "she just didn't have the means to get around." The falsetto-voiced Tiny TIm was vaulted to fame in the late 1960s with his song, "Tiptoe Through the Tulips." His road manager, Jim Cappy, was quoted as saying Tiny Tim is willing to take Miss Vicki back "any time she wants to come." Finizio says that's not likely. "From the way she talked, I'd say that's far out. I don't think that'll ever happen."

A photo of Larry Gore's best publicity stunt: Tiny Tim marrying Miss Vickie on the Johnny Carson Show. Watched by MILLIONS of viewers. I was in the hospital in 1967 and Tiny Tim visited me. Used my hospital mirror to put on his make-up! Dr. Carter, my doctor, was really surprised. Tiny Tim was very generous and sweet.
