Victor was my great uncle. Uncle Vic had I believe Polio as a child which gave him brain damage. Uncle Vic rode a three wheel bicycle in his later years but rode a bike of some sort his whole life. Uncle Vic displayed all the normal characteristics of a person with a mental disorder with what we call today Savantism. Put a screw driver in his hand and he would need instructions on how to use it. Put a violin in his hands and he became a different person. He was ridiculously good on it. He even played with the Chicago symphony several times. And yes, he would ride his bike the 150 miles to Chicago to perform. I rode a bike a lot as a kid. I rode with Uncle Vic around town a few times. Me a young teen and him in his late 60's and he would leave me in the dust on his bike. He was an odd but very lovable old man and had a laugh that you could hear across town.
