Introduction

Ulus Strickland's father was Andy Strickland, born in Florida, and his mother was Nancy Sissom (died 1963). He had sister Bertha. When Ulus was 22, he was living in Westminster, South Carolina, and was employed by Mr. J. B. Butler. He was married to Ollie. Ulus was 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighed 138 pounds, had brown eyes and black hair, and a "black" complexion. Ulus married Ollie Williams Strickland (1928 - 2006). They had children Edward, John, Ernest, Albert, Terry, Betty, and Brenda Strickland. According to his headstone, Ulus was a veteran of World War II. He was in the United States Army.
