    Tybee Brascia was also known as Tybel Bina Brascia and Tybel Bina Arfa. She was born to Meyer Arfa (1895 - 1969) and Lillie Paley (1901 - 1978). Both of her parents were born in Russia. Tybee had one brother, Carl. Tybee Arfa seems to have married John Frank Brascia and gone into show business with John as a husband and wife dance team. See Cugat Dancers Sued for $1 million. The same story also appeared in the Salem, Oregon newspaper, the Statesman Journal, on the same day. Tybee B Brascia then married Daniel C Vafiadis (1938 - 1987) on June 24, 1973 in Los Angeles, California. They divorced in October of 1975 in Los Angeles, California.

Cugat Dancers Sued for $1 million
The following story appeared in The Tennessean (Nashville, Tennessee) on Friday, June 26, 1964:

New York (AP) - Band leader Xavier Cugat yesterday filed a $1 million suit against a dance team that was part of his act, claiming they persuaded his ex-wife, Abbe Lane, to break her show contract with him. The suit asked $200,000 plus $800,000 in punitive damages from John Frank Brascia and Tybee Bimia Brascia, husband wife dance team that were part of the Cugat-Lane show.

Cugat and the curvaceous 32 year old red-haired singer were granted a quickie Mexican divorce June 3. They had been married in May, 1952. She was his third wife.
