The company that he worked for needed to find a way to control humidity and by solving this problem, Carrier created a system that could be used for cooling the rooms of a house. In 1947, by the time this person was 45 years old, on November 25th, the Hollywood "Black List" was created by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC).
