Theodosia VanDerveer Wilcox Johnson Harbottle
I have an old studio photograph of Theodosia Van Derveer WILCOX which was taken at the Stone Studio in Potsdam, NY mostly likely in the 1870's. Notes on the back of the photograph also note that she is the "widow of Orrin T. JOHNSON" and "wife of Fred E. HARBOTTLE" and that she was "born 19 Mar 1841 in T. M. Bay" and "died 20 Nov 1905 in Binghamton".

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Theodosia and her family:

Theodosia Van Derveer WILCOX was b. 1840 or 1841 to parents Charles WILCOX (1795-1851) and Julia Ann MERRILL (1803-1882) who were married 9 Mar 1831. She was one of 5 children born to this couple including Sarah E.; John Merrell; Nancy Eudora; Theodosia Van Derveer; and Oliver Cromwell WILCOX, all born between 1832 and 1845.

She lived in Three Mile Bay, NY and married twice, first to Orren Thatcher JOHNSON (1840-1905) in 1862 and they had a daughter, Jennie W. JOHNSON (1865-1891). Her second marriage was to Frederick E. HARBOTTLE (1845-1913) on 22 Jun 1885.

Theodosia died 20 Nov 1905 in Binghamton, NY and is buried in the Floral Park Cemetery in Johnson City, NY. Her husband Frederick was b. 1845 and married twice, first to Theodosia and second to Lucinda V. HARBOTTLE (1853-1930).
