She graduated from Biddeford High School in 1960 and earned a Bachelor’s of Education from Springfield College in 1964, followed by a Master’s of Education from the University of Maine Orono. Terri had a distinguished 36-year career teaching Physical Education at Wells High School, where she became one of Maine's first female high school Athletic Directors. She coached field hockey, basketball, softball, and track and field, earning acclaim as coach of "Regan’s Renegades". Her accomplishments led to inductions into the Wells High School Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Maine Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009. On March 31, 1966, Terri married Robert M. Regan, and they resided in Kennebunk, raising their daughter Susan. They enjoyed summers at Mother’s Beach, Kennebunk, and spent time with family at Balch Lake, Acton, ME. Terri was a devoted grandmother to Abigail and Natalie, actively participating in their lives in Kennebunk. She had a passion for sports, supported local high school events, and enjoyed reading, puzzles, and card games with friends. During winters, she cherished time at Anna Maria Island, FL, playing with her granddaughters on the beach in retirement. Terri J. Regan passed away at the age of 72 on Sunday, May 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Seal Rock healthcare in Saco, ME.

    Terri J. Regan (formally Terri Jean Daly ) 72, of Kennebunk, ME passed away peacefully on Sunday May 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Seal Rock healthcare in Saco, ME. Terri was born in Biddeford, ME on Sept 02, 1942, daughter of Thelma and Thomas Daly and sister to Thomas Jeremiah (Jerry) Daly. She was a 1960 graduate of Biddeford High School and received a Bachelor’s of Education from Springfield College in 1964 and then a Master’s of Education at University of Maine Orono. Terri taught Physical Education in a distinguished 36 year career at Wells High School. She was also one of the first female high school Athletic Directors in Maine. Through the years she coached field hockey, basketball, softball and track and field. She was a popular coach with her team affectionately known as “Regan’s Renegades”. Over several summers she managed the day camp at Paradise Park, Old Orchard Beach. She was inducted into the Wells High School Hall of Fame in 2004. Her work in coaching field hockey in particular led her to being inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009. Terri was married to Robert M. Regan on March 31, 1966 and shared a loving home in Kennebunk where they raised their daughter Susan. The Regans are a close knit family spending much of their summer with at Mother’s Beach, Kennebunk or with their extended family on Balch Lake, Acton, ME. Terri was a very proud grandmother of Abigail and Natalie, always following their many activities and entertaining them in Kennebunk. Terri enjoyed all sports and could be frequently seen supporting local high school events in the area. She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles and was a social card player with her network of friends. While her summers were spent in Kennebunk, she enjoyed winters in Anna Maria Island, FL. She spent several years in retirement as a snowbird and loved playing with her granddaughters on the beach at Anna Maria. Terri was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Thelma Daly. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Regan, daughter Susan Orr, son-in-law Adrian and two granddaughters Abigail and Natalie of Needham, MA. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Daly, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Barbara and Robert Lee, John and Elaine Regan and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. Burial at a later date in Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Springvale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Anne Filson Pike & Joanne Jacobsen St. Pierre Memorial Scholarship, c/o Guidance Office, Wells High School, 200 Sanford Road, Wells, ME 04090.
