Teresa Lemke died at age 39 years old on September 2, 1904 in Ascot Vale, City of Moonee Valley County, and was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery College Cres, in Parkville, City of Melbourne County.

Lee's home were set aside to be a military cemetery. The home and grounds had been in Lee's wife's family - she was a great-granddaughter of Martha Washington.
