Introduction

When Ted was 21, he was living in Sacramento, California, as a roomer in the household of Howard Baer. Everyone but Howard was a roomer. Ted was working as a druggist (pharmacist) in a drug store. Ted Osborne Springall married Lucille Mae Michello on September 1, 1934 in Carson City, Nevada. They had one daughter. When Ted was 30, he filled out a draft registration card for World War II. His mother-in-law was his next of kin. He was living in San Francisco and she was living in Sacramento. Ted was working in San Francisco. He was 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighed 182 pounds, had hazel eyes and brown hair, with a "light" complexion> Ted had one brother, Robert Doolan, who lived in Oakland California (across the Bay from San Francisco) when he died. The following appeared in the Los Gatos-Saratoga Observer (Los Gatos California) on 31 Aug 1972, Thu, page 8 Rites conducted for Springall Funeral services were held Wednesday for Ted Osborne Springall, a 62-year-old pharmacist who died at a local hopital Tuesday after a short illness. The services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. at Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills. Springall was the pharmacist for the Hecker Pass Pharmacy in Gilroy. He had lived in the County for 20 years and the state for 50 years. He was born in Winnemucca, Nev. He was the husband of Lucille Springall of Los Gatos. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Eugene F. Richards of Arlington Heights, Ill.; and a brother Robert Doolan of Oakland. He is also survived by two grandchildren. His cremated remains are to be scattered at sea.
