He was married to Ellen Eileen Yoder and together they had two children, Steven J Yoder of Indianapolis and Elizabeth Dawn Hollis of Elkhart. He also was Grandfather to two grandchildren Kristen Patrick of Elkhart and Jeremey Weaver of Goshen.

Always loved by everyone, he laughed the sound of laughter and would keep his family and friends laughing a lot! One unique skill he had was that he could imitate a horse “whinny” that never failed to get a response from a real horse!
