Sydney Avis Victoria (Shiell) Morton of VIC Australia was born in 1897 in Carisbrook to Margaret Sarah (Calaby) Shiell and John Shiell. She had siblings Hope Shiell, Henry Oliver Shiell, Roy Henry Shiell, and Mona Frances Shiell. She married Edward John "Ted" Morton in 1918, and had children John Edward Morton, Raymond Roy Morton, Frank Morton, Thomas Morton, and Vivian Morton. Sydney Morton died at age 60 years old in 1957.
