Susannah Adeline (Ingram) Little was born in 1855 in Coosa County, Alabama United States. She was married to Joseph Harrison Little on August 15, 1875 in Shelby, Shelby County, ALA, and they were together until Joseph's death on October 17, 1902 in Milam County, Texas. She had children William Harrison Little, Benjamin Lloyd Little, Georgia Lela Little, Emma D (Little) Duke, Mary Susannah Elizabeth Little, Ora Becky Little, James Alex Eugene Little, Ella Lee Little, Herbert Newman Little, Linnie Helen Little, Samuel Early Little, Joseph Ottis Little, Delia Allie Little, and Edmond Victor Little. Susannah Little died at age 78 years old in 1933 in Harris County.

In 1855, in the year that Susannah Adeline (Ingram) Little was born, on March 3rd, Congress appropriated $30,000 to create the U.S. Camel Corps. The idea was to use camels as pack animals in the Southwest and 34 camels were bought. But the Army wasn't enthusiastic about the idea and after the Civil War the Camel Corps was entirely abandoned.
