Susan Randall (Purdue) Herbert was born on December 6, 1960 in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey United States to Maureen Allene Purdue and Francis Joseph Purdue, and has siblings Gina Marie Smalley, Maureen Jane Melody, Francis Joseph Purdue Jr., Edward Anthony Purdue, and Pamela Marie Kendall. She married Richard John Herbert on September 29, 1985 in Morristown, Morris County, and they were married until Richard's death on October 20, 2017 in Florham Park. Susan Herbert has children Richard Patrick Herbert, Andrew Thomas Herbert, Kaitlin Tanya Herbert, and Samantha Nicole Herbert.
