Stewart was the couple’s only child and he died in 1902 at the age of 14 years and is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.

I have an old studio photograph of Stewart Young WALKER which was taken at the James Studio in Des Moines, IA. The photograph is dated 4 Apr 1888 and indicates that Stewart is 4 months old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Stewart and his family:

Stewart Young WALKER was b. Dec 1888 in Des Moines, IA to parents Buffon or Bufford Stewart WALKER (1857-1920) and Mary Ermine YOUNG (1859-1924) who were married 28 Oct 1886 in Des Moines, IA. Stewart was the couple’s only child and he died in 1902 at the age of 14 years and is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.
