Stanley Jarosinski of Pulaski, Brown County, Wisconsin was born on April 28, 1891 to Matheus "Matthew" Jarosinski and Frances Jarosinski. He was the father of Anton Vincent Jarosinski, Sylvester Roman Jarosinski, Louis Jarosinski, and Anna C Jarosinski. Stanley Jarosinski died at age 85 years old on August 21, 1976.

In 1891, in the year that Stanley Jarosinski was born, on June 25th, in the July issue of The Strand Magazine in London, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes appeared in a series of short stories for the first time. Doyle eventually wrote 4 novels and 56 short stories with Holmes as the main character.

In 1940, he was 49 years old when on November 5th, President Franklin Roosevelt was elected to a third term, defeating Wendell Willkie of Indiana (a corporate lawyer). Roosevelt running for a third term was controversial. But the U.S. was emerging from the Great Recession and he promised that he would not involve the country in any foreign war (which of course changed when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor). Roosevelt defeated Willkie in the popular vote by 54.7 to 44.8% and in the Electoral College 449 to 82.
