Sir John Lancelot Stirling 1849 - 1932

John Lancelot Stirling was born on November 5, 1849 in Strathalbyn, Alexandrina Council County, South Australia Australia to Edward Stirling and Harriet (Taylor) Stirling, and had a brother Norman William Stirling. He married Florence Marion (Milne) Stirling, and had a child Lancelot Eric Stirling. John Stirling died at age 82 years old on May 24, 1932 in Strathalbyn, and was buried at North Road Cemetery Cemetery Ave, in Nailsworth, City of Prospect County, SA.

In 1849, in the year that Sir John Lancelot Stirling was born, on April 22nd, Patrick Kennedy - great-grandfather of President John Kennedy - arrived in the United States. He was the 3rd born son of an Irish farmer and he knew that he wouldn't be given the chance to run the family farm. So he emigrated to Massachusetts and became a cooper. After only 10 years in the US, he died of cholera at age 35.
