A member of Shepherd's Valley Country Church in Benbrook, Texas, Shea was attending Rio Vista High School when he tragically passed away in a car accident on October 29th, 1997 at the age of 13. The following is information on that Church: Shepherd's Valley Cowboy Church, located in Alvarado, Texas, was founded in July 1997 by Russ and Anna Weaver as an outreach to individuals in the western world culture. The church aims to provide a welcoming environment where people from all backgrounds can connect and grow in their faith. Russ and Anna Weaver retired from their lead pastor roles in 2023, and Johnny and Stephanie Weaver took over as lead pastors in January 2023. The church emphasizes creating a home for rural America and offers a casual, friendly atmosphere with straightforward, relatable sermons. They also host a variety of ministries for different age groups and interests, including men’s, women’s, children’s, youth, and motorcycle ministries.
