JACK U. EVERTS, 54, and his children, SHAWN MICHAEL EVERTS, 16, KINDRA MICHELLE EVERTS, 15, and TIFFANY MARIE EVERTS, 6, died Sunday in a plane crash in Pope County, Ark. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Family Heritage Casket Gallery has charge.
Mr. Everts was a salesman for Delta Industrial Coating in Memphis, a communicant at St. William's Catholic Church in Millington, a veteran of the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve after more than 20 years, a pilot and a member of the Private Aircraft Owners Association and Paint and Coating Association.
Shawn was an honor student at Subiaco Academy in Arkansas, a member of the soccer team there, a member of the Arkansas State Olympic Development Soccer Team in Russellville, Ark., and a former Boy Scout at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Kindra was a 10th-grade student at Immaculate Conception School, where she was a member of the soccer team, a student pilot, a member of D.A.R.E. and the Memphis Futbol club. She was also a member of the Tennessee State Olympic Development Team and attended the regional at the University of Montevallo State in Alabama.
Tiffany was a first-grade student at Immaculate Conception/Barrets Chapel and played soccer with the Youth Team at Millington.
Mr. Everts, the husband of Deborah Packard Everts, also leaves a daughter, Denise Betts of Cordova, and four sons, Scott Everts of Oswego, N.Y., Timothy Everts of Warrensburg, N.Y., Kevin Everts of Decatur, Ala., and Todd Everts of Rosemark.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or the Neurofibromatosis Association.
