    Born in Norway Maine, Scott lived his short life in Maine and died in Lewiston Maine. His parents were Rodney and Carol (Decker) Mowatt and he had one brother, Michael. Although his headstone says that he died December 3, 1995, some records, specifically the Social Security Death Index, indicate that he died on December 15 1995. At the time of his death from a snowmobiling accident, Scott was living with his grandmother and aunt in Otisfield, Maine. His brother Mike, who was two years older than Scott also lived with them. Both brothers played basketball and Scott also played football and baseball. He loved sports, according to his obituary at Scott R Mowatt: Obituary A tournament in Oxford Maine was organized in Scott's memory after his death. It's called the Scott Mowatt Memorial Basketball Tournament, organized by Randy and Sherry Estes of Oxford. Not only is Randy a coach who coached Scott and Sherry PTA president, but they also had a son who knew Scott.

    The Sun-Journal (Lewiston Maine) December 5 1995 Scott R. Mowatt Lewiston - Scott R. Mowatt, 12, of Oxford, died Sunday at Central Maine Medical Center, due to injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. He was born in Norway, Nov 3, 1983, son of Rodney and Carol Decker Mowatt and attended Oxford Elementary School. Scott was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying roller blading, roller skating, ice, skating, snowboarding and street hockey. He also enjoyed playing baseball for the Oxford Guides as their center fielder, and played flag football for two years for the Oxford Giants as quarterback. Scot also enjoyed playing basketball for the Oxford Celtics and attending Camp Susan Curtis during the summer. Survivors include his parents; one brother, Michael of Oxfor; paternal grandmother Camilla Mowatt of Oxford, maternal grandmother, Lorraine Fadden of South Paris; and a special aunt, Julie Mowatt of Oxford. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Stanley Mowatt and maternal grandfather, Roger Fadden.
