Sarah Violet Agnes (McKenzie) Redenbach of Carrum, City of Kingston County, VIC Australia was born on January 23, 1877 in Lucknow, City of Orange County, NSW to John Mckenzie and Sarah Ann Jessep. She had siblings Jessie Elizabeth Ellen (Mckenzie) Worthington, John Arthur "Jack" Mckenzie, Donald Thomas Mckenzie, Ada Jane Mckenzie, Elsie Pearl (Mckenzie) Patterson, Ruby May (Mckenzie) Knox, Leonard James Mckenzie, and William Charles Mckenzie. She married Charles Agustus Redenbach in 1902, and had a child Clare Redenbach. Sarah Redenbach died at age 78 years old in 1955 in Carrum, City of Kingston County, VIC.

In 1877, in the year that Sarah Violet Agnes McKenzie was born, on July 14th, strikes and resulting riots began at the Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Railroad. A sympathy strike and rioting began in Pittsburgh and a worker's rebellion began in St. Louis, then spread to other cities. 100 people were killed before the strikes ended when President Rutherford B. Hayes sent federal troops to each of the cities involved.
