She was in a relationship with Alessaindro "Andrew" Pedro- Cassella, and had children Nicola Pedro-Pietrofito, John Pedro, Catherine Jean (Pedro) Supernant, Nicholas J Pedro, Nancy Joan (Pedro) Bonanno, and Concetta A (Pedro) Delauro. Rose Sarkinen died at age 80 years old in February 1974.

    Found at the New London Library on October 18, 2005 page 20 the Day, New London, Conn., Friday, Febuary 8, 1974 Obituary Rose Sarkinen NEW LONDON-- Mrs. Rose Gambardello Pedro Sarkinen, 80, of 23 Riozzi Court was dead on arrival at 3:48 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Medical Examiner Robert T. Henkle attributed death to nat- ural causes. She was married to John Sar- kinen in 1937 in Webster, Mass. He died Aug. 28, 1943. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Golden Circle ofRiozzi Court. Survivors include two sons, Nick of New London and John Pedro of Taftville; two daugh- ters, Mrs. Laverne Supernant of New London and Mrs. Ster- ling Bonanno of Waterford; 15 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. the funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday from the Impel- literi Memorail Home to a mass of christian Burial at 10 at st. Mary's church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight.
