Rose had five surviving siblings: Charles, born 1915, John J born 1916, Bernard, born 1920, Marie born 1924, and James, born 1927. She also had two brothers who died in infancy. Rose Marie Hoey married Frank Stephen Kirka (1916 - 1978) on April 4, 1938 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. They had three daughters, Rosemarie, born 1938 and Mary Ann, born 1943, and Marjorie, and two sons, Donald J, Frank S. "Butch" Kirka Jr., born 1939.
