Introduction

Arrested on April 25 2007 for the strangulation murder of Keisha R Hogan, 34, Roosevelt was living in Middletown Ohio when he was arrested but he had also lived on Whetsel Ave, Baker Ave, Rockdale Ave., and Central Parkway in Cincinnati. Records state that he got a 13 year sentence for the murder, expiring on March 16 2020. He was sentenced to an Ohio Correctional Institute in London, Ohio. A state prison is a long-term facility, where prisoners are sent for sentences of more than one year. The average length of stay is between five and ten years. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer on April 26th, 2007, Roosevelt had previously been convicted of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, theft and intimidation. In 2005, he was convicted of stealing DVDs and he was later convicted of intimidation after he called the victim three times "threatening to do bodily harm if she followed through with the prosecution."

He hadn’t graduated or gotten a GED when I knew him. I think that he wrote me a letter saying that he had gotten his GED in prison, before he committed the murder of Keisha R Hogan.

No. Just the war on the African American community when crack was introduced.
Professional Career

He was a security guard, working at TSS in Elmont, NY. Later he worked as a driver for Monty Brothers Sanitation, Nassau County. Then he met an older woman named Gloria who influenced him to use my address to re route deliveries of merchandise from her employer while I was at work. Apparently he was helping her by bringing the goods back to her apartment on MLK Drive in Hempstead, to sell later. I found this out, quite after the fact.
Personal Life & Family

Roosevelt and I were married on Thursday, October 23, 1986 in a Civil Ceremony in Hempstead NY. We divorced a year later, due to Roosevelt’s drug addiction. Before he met crack he was taking lessons get his CDL. ( Commercial Drivers License). Roosevelt had a great sense of humor and loved “ Down Home Blues”. He was friendly and a con man who could get an unsuspecting person to give him a down payment on a car that wasn’t even his, with a promise to come back the next day with the keys for a test drive, as well as the bringing the owner back to meet the customer. He was a hustler. Handsome with hazel eyes, and that Mississippi southern drawl. He was artistic and creative. And he didn’t mind hard work.

If you’re actually dead, Rest In Peace. My Spirit Guides told me to google your name,today, (Saturday October 22, 2022) just as they did years ago when I found out that you murdered Keisha Hogan. I was flabbergasted ! I jumped out of my chair and backed away from the computer. I hadn’t thought of you for years, at that time, and I was just grateful because what you did to her and her family , could have easily happened to me and mine if I hadn’t been obedient to the fears that overruled my heart and both our tears on the telephone that night. God had already allowed me to escape you once. Sometimes Rejection is Protection.
This all started because of Crack/Cocaine, back in October of 1988. Nassau County, New York.
I’m going to check as much as possible to verify that you’re actually dead, before I tell the story of the man I knew before he met the pipe.
If you’re still alive and out of prison, good luck with your healing and your future.
I only wish you Peace, either way.
