    Ocala, Florida - Robert William Merklein, 90, went to be with his lord on January 29, 2013. He was born on July 21, 1922 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and was stationed in Iceland. He moved to New York City and married Leonora Eve Zglinski in June of 1946; he was a bus driver for the New York City Transit Authority for 25 years. He retired at 50 and moved to Ocala, Florida. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Leonora E. Merklein. He is survived by his daughters, all of Ocala, Florida, Barbara Brown and her husband Raymond Brown, Linda Giza and her husband Steve Giza, Arlene Stephens and her husband David Stephens; and a son, Robert Arthur Merklein in Charlotte NC; his grandchildren, Kelly Ankney and her husband Chad Ankney, Stephen Brown and great grandchildren Brian Chad Ankney, Jr. and Brady Cole Ankney.
