Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

I am very interested in discovering who Ralphus' mother was. He was born in Hart County, GA, January 7, 1894, to James H Hicks and an unknown mother. In approximately 1898, James married my great great grandmother, Sarah Jane "Sallie" Stacks Seigler. She was the widow of Obadiah Martin Seigler, with whom she'd had 5 children: 4 daughters, Janie, Della, Nora and Essie, and 1 son, Jacob, who died at 7 months old. James and Sallie went on to have 3 sons: William, Oren Cyrah aka "Cyrie" or "Doc," and Harvey.
