Ralph H. Kiyosaki
Personal Life And Family

Ralph H Kiyosaki married Majorie O. Kiyosaki who worked as a nurse. They had four children, namely Robert Kiyosaki, John Kiyosaki, Beth Kiyosaki and Emi Kiyosaki.

Notable Family Figure

Aside from his many achievements in education, the Kiyosaki’s moved to the spotlight through the presence of his first son – Robert Kiyosaki. Born in 1947 in Hilo, which was in Hawaii back then, he attended Hilo High School and graduated in 1965.

He received nominations for the U. S Naval Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He graduated in 1969 from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in New York as a deck officer.

Robert also worked in Standard Oil’s tanker office as a third mate but resigned after six months to join the Marine Corps as a pilot. He also enrolled in a two-year MBA program at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

Robert turned out to be a worldwide business personality, breaking into the market with his books. He began with a company called “Rippers” which produced the first nylon and velcro surfer wallets. Though his products featured on several channels, his company eventually went bankrupt.

He worked in Xerox as a sales associate and stopped in June 1978. He started another retail business that made T-shirts, hats, wallets, bags, and so on for heavy metal rock bands. Again, he went bankrupt in 1980.

The Beginning Of Cashflow Technologies Incorporation
He began another education company which he sold in 1994. He began his writing in 1992 with his first book: ‘If You Want to Be Rich and Happy, Don’t Go to School’. In 1997, he began a financial and education company called Cashflow Technologies Incorporation.

This became his major source of earning. In 2012, his company “Rich Global LLC” became bankrupt as well. This has led to many criticisms of his written works and teachings at seminars.

Some illustrate his teaching as scams and termed them “get rich quick” schemes. From Kiyosaki’s words, the media discovered that Ralph Kiyosaki became poor and unemployed in the last years of his life despite his PhD. This explained Robert’s criticism of education and hate towards schooling principles.

His books include Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Cashflow Quadrant, Guide to Investing, Rich Kid, Smart Kid, Rich Dad’s Prophecy, and so on. He is married to Kim Kiyosaki.
