  • Introduction

Rachel Florence Workum Holman was married to Alfred Paul Holtzman Jr. who wisely changed the name to HOLMAN during World War I to avoid being hated for being of German descent. She was the mother of the famous singer LIBBY HOLMAN. I met her because she was the grandmother of Timothy Reynolds who everybody called "Mike." I dated Mike in the summer of 1965. Rachel was bright, cultured, funny, talkative, warm, generous, and extremely lovable.
