Prater Winford Surratt 1859 - 1932

Prater Winford Surratt of Bonicord, Dyer County, Tennessee United States was born on January 11, 1859 in Wayne County to Isaac Surratt and Felitia Ann (Reeves) Surratt. They married Sarah Joyce Ann (Jackson) Surratt on February 14, 1878 in Wayne County, TN, and they were married until Sarah's death in 1886. They had children Elizabeth J Surratt, Florence Lucinda Surratt, and George Andrew Franklin Surratt. They also married Alaminta (Grimes) Surratt on July 11, 1887 and they later separated in 1886 in Wayne County. They and Turly L (Morris) Surratt married on July 20, 1888 in Wayne County and they later separated in 1886. They and Fannie (Hoda) Surratt married on June 7, 1901 in Decatur County, TN and they later separated in 1886. They and Belle (Dodson) Surratt married on May 15, 1909 in Decatur County, and they were married until Belle's death in 1911. They and Lillie Belle (Conder) Surratt married on December 24, 1911 and they later separated in 1911. They had children Richard Lee Surrett, Anna Mae (Surratt) Peterson, Mary Etta (Surratt) McFall, and Loye Surrette. Prater's partner was Mary Francis (Johnson) Surratt, and they had children Noah Thurston Surratt, Henry Brawley Surratt, Arthur Owen Surratt, and Vela Surratt. Prater Surratt died at age 73 years old on June 10, 1932 in Dyer County, and was buried on January 11, 1932 at Millers Chapel Cemetrey 2772 Ashley Rd, in Dyersburg.
