    Source Red Drouin: * Book III, pg 1537 and 1538: Philippe set up house on "la cote de Beaupre" (now Ste. Anne de Beaupre) in the parish of l'Ange Gardien. He worked for Sieur Bertrand Chesnay de la Garenne, seigneur du fief de Lothainville. This place is actually now in Quebec City. After his marriage to Martine, they moved across to the south shore and set up house on land in the seigneurie of Riviere du Sud in what later was called St. Pierre du Sud. Philippe was a farmer and a shoemaker.
