Kit & Phil Runser
Katherine "Kit" and Philip Runser, youngest children of Phillip Jacob Runser and Clara Ketchum Runser. They had a homestead in Foxboro, Wisconsin in the early 1900s. This photo was probably taken shortly after Kit was fitted with her first pair of spectacles, hence the somber look on her usually smiling face.

Philip Jacob Runser
P J Runser was born in France in 1845 and came to America with his family while still an infant. He married Caroline Clarissa Ketchum in 1871. They had a homestead in South Dakota and raised a family of 8 children there. They eventually moved to Foxboro, WI where Philip died in 1921, a year after his wife succumbed to influenza. They are buried in the Summit Cemetery at Foxboro.

Philip J Runser was born in France in 1845. Wife, Caroline Clarissa Ketchum was born in 1848 in Vermont. This is a photo of them and the youngest of their 8 children, Philip and Katherine, taken in Foxboro, Wisconsin, their last home.
