This is a picture of my father-in-law, Erwin Woodrow Nunley, and his sister, Pansy Nunley Ellis, taken outside Erwin's home in Hearne, Texas. He worked for Gulf Oil Company at Kermit, Texas, for about 40 years and then retired back in the town where he grew up at Hearne, Texas.
He died at Hearne Hospital, Hearne, Texas, in 1979 of lung cancer.
Pansy died of pancreatic cancer. Before she died she crocheted all 3 of my children beautiful afgans.

Adam Nunley and Fannie Dotson Nunley pictured with their surviving children in their farm home, 5 miles out of Hearne, Robertson County, Texas. One daughter, Pearl, died at age 33 with pneumonia in Houston, Texas, 1929. Two children died within days of birth, Elmer J. Nunley b. 27 May 1904 and an unnamed baby girl.
The family was Reorganized Latter Day Saints. All family members are buried in the Suggs Cemetery, Hearne, Robertson County, Texas, with the exception of Pearl. She is buried in the Hearne City Cemetery.
