Sawmill worker, farmer, carpenter, fireman and oiler on the railroad, soldier, autoworker, volunteer Grandfather for at risk children. Father of 13 children, and husband of "Gola" Pearl Stiltner, a.k.a. Stilton. His grandfather was Elijah E. Akers.

Otto was drafted in early 1945 and went to basic combat training at fort Leonard Wood, His legal German citizrnship was detected and he was interned at Camp Atteberry, Indiana with ww2 prisoners Using his American birth certificate he returned to Floyd County and lead a ordinary life.
Personal Life & Family

Rumored to have been born born aboard a ship outside of Hawian to a Dr. Abraham Kauffman ) a German citizen and an Eurasian woman, Susan Gertrude (a Chinese national). He had two other siblings. The mother, remarried Francis Marion Akers. They had one child. Noah Akers, s cousin of Francis Marion filed paperwork listing Gertrude and the three children his.
