  • Introduction

    My fathers name was Otto biernt Bismark Seehusen. He was born 1984. He served in WW1, because of his German name I listed under the name Robert Kent. He had two half brothers and he was the eldest of five siblings to his parents. He married and had a son Kenneth Charles seehusen . And later after the death of his first wife he married Edna Beatrice Hodgkins in Epping NSW. They moved to West Pennant Hills, where he was a market Gardner. There are two children to that marriage Benjamin Karl and Karyn Elizabeth. Otto died in 1977 of septicaemia after a operation.

In 1894, in the year that Otto Biernt Bismark Seehusen was born, large reserves of oil were discovered on the Osage Indian reservation in Oklahoma. Previously thought to be "useless" land - not even good for farming - the tribe had bought the land themselves. The discovery of oil made the Osage the "richest group of people in the world" at the time.
