    Otto Andrew Ardueser was the son of Andrew Arduser and Monica Arduser. He had siblings Anna, Emma, Ruth, and Walter Ardueser. He was born in Belden, Nebraska and grew up in Cedar County Nebraska. Otto later moved to Denver, CO and spent most of his life there. Otto was married to August May Stewart (1904-1936) and they had two sons and a daughter together. After her passing in 1936, he re married to Esther M A Kasten (1916–2015) on January 8, 1938 in Littleton, Arapahoe County, Colorado. The couple had three daughters together. Otto passed away on September 5, 1973 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 1934, when he was 32 years old, on July 22nd, gangster John Dillinger was killed in Chicago. His gang had robbed banks and police stations, among other charges, and he was being hunted by J. Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI - although many in the public saw him as a "Robin Hood". A madam from a brothel in which he was hiding became an informer for the FBI and, after a shootout with FBI agents, Dillinger was shot and died.
