This photo is of the Hasty family circa 1890 in (probably) Nebraska. Simeon Hasty was b. 1855 in Limerick, ME; his wife Mary Atkinson was b. 1865 in MI; their son Oliver (Ollie) was b. 1889 in Nebraska. Simeon was a farmer - notice in the photo he is missing the index finger of his left hand - possibly a farming accident? I think it is unusual for the time that he would have the photo taken like that and not try to hide it. The family later moved to Sheridan, WY where Simeon died in 1911.
