She had siblings George William Ormston, Bertha Ormston, John Ormston, Edith Isabella Ormston, Ivy Christina Ormston, Margaret Ormston, Alice Elizabeth (Ormston) Pickford, Florence (Ormston) Honicke, Francis Ormston, Agnes Muriel Ormston, and James Ormston. She married David Arthur Gibson in 1926, and had children Margaret Elizabeth Gibson and Beverly Ann Gibson. Olive Gibson died at age 52 years old on July 7, 1955 in Stawell.
