Nettie (Boykin) Brinkley c. 1860 - 1933

Nettie (Boykin) Brinkley was born circa 1860 in Alabama United States to Morning Boykin and Wilson Boykin, and had siblings Cain Boykin Sr., Frank Boykin, Ida (Boykin) Spencer, Malisa (Boykin) Brinker, and Daniel Boykin. She married Calhoun Portwood on June 12, 1878 in Clay County, Mississippi. She married William Brinkley Sr. on October 11, 1882 in Coahoma County, and they were married until Nettie's death on March 16, 1933. They had children John Wesley Brinkley, Lucius Brinkley, Lutie (Brinkley) Washington, Effie (Brinkley) Payne, Will Brinkley Jr., Tennessee (Brinkley) Harris, Ida Bell (Brinkley) Howard, Clarence Brinkley, and Earnest Brinkley.
