    SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1997, THE SUN HERALD ■ GULFPORT -- Needham J. "N.J." Flanagan, 88, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, in Bay St. Louis. Mr. Flanagan was born in Simpson County and had been a resident of the Coast since 1950. He was the owner of F and F Termite and Pest Control and Dixie Pest Control. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gulfport and was the founder of Feed My Sheep. He was known for his work with Alcoholics Anonymous and was the recipient of the 1994 Jefferson Award for outstanding public service to South Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. and Odie Flanagan; two brothers, William H. ' Flanagan and John Flanagan; two sisters, Hazel Dobersberger and Willie Mae Maloney; and a grandson, Milton James Whitaker. Survivors include his wife, Ann Flanagan of Gulfport; three daughters, Nita Flanagan of Grand, Prairie, Texas, Jane McGill and Sue. White, both of Gulfport; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport where friends may call an hour before services. The family prefers memorials to Feed My Sheep, C/O Westminster Presbyterian Church, 5005 Lawson Ave., Gulfport, MS 39507.
