Naomi Eva (Wallace) Scearce Eanes of Danville, Danville City County, VA was born on August 3, 1915 in Dry Fork, Pittsylvania County to Nathaniel Valentine Wallace and Julia Levada (Aaron) Wallace. Naomi Scearce Eanes had siblings Raymond Daniel Wallace, George Lee Wallace, Fred Nathaniel Wallace, Boyd Edward Wallace, Helen Gould Wallace Jeffcoate Shumate, Douglas Dee Wallace, Louise Lavada Wallace Richardson, John Aaron Wallace, Bertha Mae (Wallace) Stowe, Julian Lee Wallace, and Catherine Wallace. She married Andrew Jackson Scearce Sr. on July 5, 1933 in Pittsylvania County and they later divorced on February 10, 1955 in Danville. They had children Andrew Jackson Scearce Jr. and Donald Wayne Scearce. She would also marry Adolphus Glenn Eanes on October 15, 1955 in Danville, and they were married until Naomi's death on February 14, 2006 in Danville.

    Naomi Eanes Naomi Wallace Scearce Eanes, 90, of Danville, V.A., died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at the Danville Regional Medical Center, after being at Roman Eagle Memorial Home for a short time. She was born August 3, 1915, in Dry Fork, V.A., a daughter of the late Nathaniel V. Wallace and Julia Aaron Wallace. On October 15, 1955, she married Glenn Eanes, who survives. Mrs. Eanes and her husband resided in Chicago, I.L., for 40 years. She was executive housekeeper at Edgewater Beach Hotel for a number of years. She was a longtime member of Grace Design United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, Mrs. Eanes was also predeceased by her two sons, Andrew Jackson Scearce Jr. on September 13, 1991 and Donald Wayne Scearce on July 11, 1987; her brothers, Johnny Wallace, Julian Wallace, Fred Wallace, George Wallace, Doug Wallace, Raymond Wallace, and Buck Wallace; and her sisters, Bertha Stowe, Helen Shumate, and Katherine Wallace. In addition to her husband, Glenn, of the home, she is survived by her sister, Mrs. Louise Richardson of Danville, V.A.; her grandchildren, Denise Bauman, and her husband, Phil, of Libertyville, W.I., Pattie Scearce of Kenoshia, W.I., Jeff Scearce of Roanoke, V.A., and Todd Scearce of Danville, V.A.; her great-grandchildren, Vanessa Bauman and Kristen Bauman of Libertyville, I.L., and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from Townes Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Thomas Shepherd presiding. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 16, at Townes Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 P.M. and other times at the residence, 100 Tinsley Court, Danville, V.A. Townes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
