Myrtie Bartley was my great grammy . Her daughter/ my grammy was Violet Cora Bartley Bryant. Violet married Casper Bryant and had 2 children. Keith Bryant who was my uncle and Lois Dolly Bryant Copeland who is my beloved mother. Grammy Bartley passed away when i was about the age of 5. I think due to a blood clot. My mother Lois who was Bartley's granddaughter told me that her last words were of me. When my mother was visiting her in the hospital in her last few days, she asked my mother. " how is grammy's precious little baby girl?" My mom told her i was fine and that i loved her very .much. I remember the day of her funeral. I was to young to understand her passing and did not attend the funeral, but i do remember my cousins and siblings dressed very nicely and then came to my parents house after the service. I was so happy to see all of my family but i didnt realize why they were all at my house. I think i asked why grammy Bartley wasnt there with all of us as well and then someone tried to explain that she was gone. She was a very kind woman.
